Duties

• Acting as Deputy Chair of the Academic-Methodological Council;
• Organizing the activities of the staff of the academic-methodological department, providing methodological and practical assistance to staff in fulfilling their duties, and monitoring the proper execution of their tasks;
• Developing the annual work plan of the academic-methodological department;
• Participating in the activities of the Scientific Council of the institute;
• Preparing draft orders and directives of the rector to implement the orders and instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation and the decisions of the institute’s Scientific Council on academic matters at the institutional level;
• Organizing the analysis of the level of provision of educational-methodological literature and qualified specialists by disciplines and specialties;
• Preparing information and reports on academic matters for the institute’s Scientific Council and deans’ meetings;
• Monitoring the implementation of the rector’s orders, directives, and instructions on academic work in the faculties;
• Preparing the plan for organizing the educational process for the new academic year and coordinating the activities of faculties for its implementation;
• Reviewing and preparing annual working curricula for different educational directions for approval;
• Approving the norms of teaching workload for faculty members based on the institute’s total teaching workload and staff numbers;
• Monitoring the quality of the distribution of teaching workload among the teaching staff of departments and preparing a draft rector’s order based on the decision of the department meeting;
• Taking measures to ensure the proportionality of teaching workload and staff units in departments and proposing the allocation or reduction of staff units;
• Preparing the institute’s academic schedule based on the proposals of faculties and educational plans, and preparing a draft rector’s order;
• Organizing student surveys to study their opinions about teachers and the learning process and summarizing the results at the institutional level based on faculty analysis;
• Ensuring the effective organization of YADA exams and the defense of graduation theses, and monitoring the YADA process on behalf of the institute’s administration;
• Providing methodological support to vice deans and academic support staff regarding the organization and control of the academic-methodological process;
• Organizing the preparation of methodological guidelines for faculties and departments on the organization and control of academic-methodological activities;
• Proposing rewards or disciplinary measures for teaching staff and academic support staff based on their performance within the scope of delegated authority;
• Preparing information requested by the rector (or vice rector for academic affairs) for the ministry or other higher-level organizations;
• Analyzing and proposing improvements to regulatory and working documents related to the educational process and summarizing the proposals from faculties;
• Taking measures to improve the qualifications and performance of the department staff and enhancing the overall effectiveness of the department’s activities;
• Improving the department’s website and ensuring timely updates of relevant information;
• Ensuring the department is staffed with experienced, creative, determined, and fair personnel;
• Summarizing the annual reports of faculties on academic-methodological activities;
• Organizing the monitoring of labor and academic discipline compliance by department staff, faculty members, and students;
• Reviewing and resolving appeals, complaints, and applications related to academic matters;
• Analyzing and resolving problematic situations and misunderstandings in academic matters in the prescribed manner;
• Organizing the analysis of the academic-methodological activities of deans’ offices and departments;
• Monitoring the correction of identified deficiencies by departments and deans’ offices and providing them with methodological and practical assistance.
