History of the Department
The Uzbekistan–Finland Pedagogical Institute of Samarkand State University was established based on Resolution No. 408 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 30, 2021. Initially, the Department of Exact Sciences was formed within the Faculty of Exact-Natural Sciences and Physical Culture.
Following several structural reforms to specialize the academic fields:

July 2023: The Department of Exact Sciences was split into the "Mathematics and Informatics" and "Physics-Astronomy" departments.

September 2024: The "Mathematics and Informatics" department was further divided into the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Informatics.
To date, the faculty has authored over 50 textbooks, study guides, and manuals, along with 4 monographs. The department's primary research theme is: "Current issues of mathematics and its teaching in the educational-procedural process."

Undergraduate (Bachelor's)

Core Subjects: Mathematical Analysis, Algebra, Analytic Geometry, Differential Geometry and Topology, Number Theory, Linear Algebra, Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics, Methodology of Teaching Mathematics, History of Mathematics.

Electives: Non-standard methods for solving geometry problems, Equations of Mathematical Physics, Functional Analysis, Vocational-oriented teaching of mathematics, Methods for solving word problems.
Graduate (Master's)

Core Subjects: Methodology of Teaching Special Subjects, Selected Chapters of Analysis, Selected Chapters of Geometry, Modern Technologies of Teaching Mathematics in Higher Education.
