History of the Department

The Department of Computer Science at the Samarkand State Pedagogical Institute was established on September 4, 2024. Today, the department employs 2 foreign professors, 5 associate professors (dotsent), 2 Doctors of Philosophy (PhD), 2 senior lecturers, and 6 teachers. The department maintains extensive cooperation with several prestigious foreign higher education institutions and professors, with further agreements currently in the planning stages.

To date, the department’s faculty has produced over 20 textbooks, study guides, lecture notes, and manuals. Additionally, they have published more than 10 monographs, 20 scientific pamphlets, 20 scientific collections, nearly 500 scientific articles, and over 100 popular science articles.

Undergraduate (Bachelor's)

  • 1st Year (Applied Mathematics): Theoretical Foundations of Informatics; Discrete Mathematics and Mathematical Logic; Algorithmic Languages and Programming; Programming Basics; Digital and Information Technologies.

  • 2nd Year (Applied Mathematics): Algorithmic Languages and Programming; Application of IT in Professional Activities.

  • 3rd Year (Mathematics and Informatics): Modern Programming Languages; Databases and Information Systems; Computer Hardware and Software.

  • 4th Year (Mathematics and Informatics): Information Technology in Education; Information Security; Computer Graphics and Web Design; Methodology of Teaching Informatics; Pedagogical Software Tools.

Graduate (Master's) — 70110602: Information Technology in Education Pedagogical Web Design; Neuropedagogics; Algorithm Design and Analysis; Information Search and Extraction; Innovation and Project Management; Python Programming; Teaching Special Subjects; Digital Education and Pedagogical Competence.
