Duties
  • Organization of execution of laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decrees and orders of the President, decisions of the Oliy Majlis and the Cabinet of Ministers in the field of education and training;
  • Organization of educational, scientific, financial, moral and educational work on the basis of state educational standards and training of qualified personnel;
  • Ensuring full awareness of all deans and departments, heads of departments and teaching staff about the complex of requirements for the content of knowledge and the level of training in accordance with state educational standards;
  • Organization of execution of orders, orders and instructions of higher authorities, decisions of the Academic Council of the University and orders of the rector on issues related to the educational process;
  • Study of trends in the development of the education system of advanced countries, methods and means of implementing the tasks defined by the Law "On Education", "National Training Program" and other laws related to education, development and ensuring their implementation;
  • Organization of the introduction of advanced forms of education, including distance learning, new pedagogical and information and communication technologies and their effective use in the educational process;
  • Preparation of proposals and organization of work in the field of activity;
  • Coordination, organization and control of the work of departments and deans providing the educational process;
  • Approval of work plans of departments, faculties and departments and control over their implementation;
  • Improving the quality of training sessions, monitoring and ensuring the implementation of personal plans of the teaching staff;
  • Organization of educational and scientific conferences, leadership of the methodological council of the university and improvement of pedagogical skills, generalization of best methodological experience;
  • Implementation of general management of the process of preparation and publication by the University staff of materials of educational and methodological and scientific works, including journals and collections of scientific works, as well as replenishment of the library fund with educational and methodological and scientific periodicals in all areas of educational and scientific activities of the university;
  • Managing and facilitating the processes of searching, selecting and working with talented youth, managing the training process of students and research trainees-applicants for the prestigious scholarships named after the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Navoi, Beruni, Ulugbek, Zulfiya and others;
  • Development of proposals on the staffing of teaching and support staff for academic work, organization of work to provide departments, departments with qualified personnel;
  • Preparation of job offers for vacant positions, research interns, applicants and undergraduates, as well as management of the development and implementation of plans to improve and improve the qualifications of the teaching staff;
  • Development of issues of effective use of educational facilities, improvement of technical equipment of classrooms and laboratories;
  • Taking measures against employees who violated executive discipline, preparing proposals for termination of the contract with them;
  • Preparation of proposals for the creation of faculties, departments in cooperation with higher educational institutions of foreign countries in order to improve the content of education, to ensure the training of specialists on the basis of international requirements;
  • Conducting annual reports on the activities of departments, faculties and departments, analyzing and summarizing, evaluating the educational and methodological activities of the teaching staff by modern methods;
  • Implementation of permanent cooperation with higher educational institutions in the educational and methodological direction, ensuring the active participation of the teaching staff in conferences, seminars, interaction with local governments;
  • Determination, analysis of the annual rating of a higher educational institution in accordance with the established procedure, carrying out work to improve its activities;
  • Active participation in the ongoing internal attestation, preparation and conduct of external attestation of Samarkand State University in accordance with the established procedure.
