Anti-Drug Prevention Activities Reviewed at Samarkand State Pedagogical Institute
In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF–207 of 3 November 2025, “On Comprehensive Measures for the Effective Protection of Public Health and the Nation’s Gene Pool from Drug Abuse and Drug-Related Crime,” comprehensive measures are being consistently implemented to achieve the priority objectives of the National Strategy for Combating Drug Abuse and Drug-Related Crime for 2024–2028. These efforts aim to elevate the national system for combating drug abuse and organized drug-related crime to a new level while effectively safeguarding public health, particularly that of young people, and protecting the nation’s gene pool.
In this regard, on 13 July, a monitoring visit was conducted at Samarkand State Pedagogical Institute with the participation of a working group from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.
During the visit, the working group reviewed the institute’s anti-drug prevention activities, awareness-raising campaigns, information exhibitions, and the operation of the “Justice Boxes” initiative.
At the conclusion of the review, participants exchanged opinions on the ongoing activities, and practical recommendations and relevant guidance were provided to further enhance the effectiveness of preventive measures.
