DEPUTY MINISTER OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE FAMILIARIZES HIMSELF WITH THE ACTIVITIES OF SAMARKAND STATE PEDAGOGICAL INSTITUTE
Today, Sanjar Mirzaliyev, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited Samarkand State Pedagogical Institute to familiarize himself with the institution’s ongoing activities, educational process, and existing infrastructure.
Initially, he inspected the construction work on the new academic building with a capacity of 1,000 students, currently being built on the institute’s campus. He also familiarized himself with the facilities available in the sports halls, student dormitories, and classrooms where academic sessions are held.
During the visit, particular attention was paid to the institute’s research capacity, the activities of its laboratories, and their technical and material resources. The conditions established in the laboratories, the effective use of modern scientific equipment, the integration of students’ theoretical knowledge with practical training, and support for the research activities of academic staff were also reviewed.
In addition, he was briefed on the organization of the educational process, the activities of the Registrar’s Office, opportunities for applying modern information and communication technologies in education, and the work being carried out to establish new spin-off enterprises.
During the meeting, ongoing efforts to improve the quality of education, develop research activities, expand international cooperation, attract foreign investment, and modernize educational infrastructure were also reviewed. Particular attention was given to the effective use of the existing material and technical resources and further expanding the institute’s capabilities in education and science.
